The apartment complex can be reached directly by car (toll road) or with the Kanzelbahn (small footpath). Due to the winter service, access to the Almresort Gerlitzen by road is possible all year round guaranteed.
In winter, you can ski directly from the apartment complex via a prepared path to the ski slopes (52 kilometers of slopes in a snow-reliable and family-friendly ski area). As an alternative, you can of course also go ski touring or hike with snowshoes.
A ski and snowboard school with rental and included sports shop is located directly at the Kanzelbahn.
In summer, the mountain invites you to go hiking and walking (easily hiked, paved hiking and themed trails, some of which are barrier-free for strollers), Nordic walking (trails with different levels of difficulty), paragliding (special thermals, beautiful panorama), model flying and mountain biking. The many access routes result in a wide range of difficulty levels for mountain bikers.
Other attractions for young and old: at the Kanzelhöhe middle station - summer tubing (sliding fun), bungee trampoline and the adventure park (climbing park); at the Neugarten Hütte - water adventure world;
at the Pöllinger Hütte – mountain and alpine pasture museum; visiting the solar observatory.
The Ossiacher See is located directly at the foot of the Gerlitzen. Car-free bathing fun thanks to the unique combination of mountains and lakes with the Gerlitzen Kanzelbahn (free with the Carinthia Card).
